209 - Eric Gets Suspended
Seizoen 2
In what's clearly an attempt to get the attention of her dysfunctional parents, Donna has started smoking and getting F's on her report card, but it's Eric who gets suspended when he gets caught holding Donna's cigarette. Eric gets no thanks from Donna who wants to get into trouble, and he knows that Red will kill him when he finds out. Jackie wants to decorate Kelso's van with her stuffed animals, and Kelso tells Eric that he too is willing to make sacrifices for his girlfriend; he'll allow Jackie to put one stuffed animal in the glovebox. Bob and Midge are too excited about their upcoming evening at a singles bar to think too much about Donna's report card. Fez announces that his host family has set him up with a blind date, and there's also a date for Hyde. Both girls are hot, but Hyde tells Fez that American custom dictates that Hyde gets the blonde. As expected, Red and Kitty are very upset about Eric's suspension; Kitty's immediately on a mission to educate Eric on the horrors of cancerous lungs. Red makes Eric sweep the driveway and smoke a whole pack of cigarettes. Bob tells Red that he thinks Donna's having problems, because Eric's a bad influence. Jackie and Kelso have a serious difference of opinion on how many stuffed animals should be in the van. Hyde and Fez are with their dates, and Hyde is bored with Mary (the blonde) who talks about nothing but her church and her pastor; Patty, Fez's date, on the other hand, seems like a real party girl, so Hyde "generously" offers to give the blonde to Fez. Fez is ecstatic, since blondes, he says, are notorious whores. But Patty goes home early to study for a test, and religious Mary invites Fez back to her house to sit in the hot tub. Donna tells Red and Kitty that Eric took the smoking rap for her, and Red actually apologizes that he made Eric smoke the cigarettes. Jackie negotiates a settlement with Kelso and is allowed to keep six stuffed animals in the van. And Donna confesses to her parents that she, not Eric, was guilty of smoking at school, and she gets grounded.
